Terms of Service

1. Who can use Herwave

Herwave is a women-only community. You must be a woman aged 18 or older, able to form a binding contract, and not barred from using the Service under Indian law. You must provide accurate information and complete verification where required. We may refuse, suspend or remove any account that does not meet these conditions.

2. Your account & verification

• You are responsible for your account, your login credentials, and all activity under your account.
• To keep the community safe, we verify members (including a one-time selfie “liveness” check). You agree not to impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity or gender.
• Keep your details current. Notify us of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Community rules & conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, defraud or endanger any member.
• Post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading or infringing content.
• Solicit money under false pretences, spam, or run unauthorised commercial activity.
• Share another member’s private information, photos or location without consent.
• Attempt to bypass verification, security, or these Terms; scrape, hack, or misuse the Service.
• Allow any man or non-eligible person to use your account.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion.

4. Travel, stays, carpools & meeting others

Herwave is a platform that connects women — we are not a travel agent, tour operator, transport provider, or hotel, and we do not own, manage or control the stays, rides, trips or events listed by members. Bookings and arrangements are agreements directly between the women involved. We verify members and provide safety tools, but we cannot guarantee any member’s conduct, or the safety, quality, legality or accuracy of any listing, trip or meeting. Use your own judgement, meet safely, and use the in-app safety features. You take part in trips, stays, carpools and meetings at your own risk.

5. Hosting & listings

If you host a stay, offer a carpool, or organise a trip or event, you are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, for holding any permissions or rights required, and for complying with applicable laws (including tax). You grant guests only what your listing describes, and you must honour confirmed bookings in good faith.

6. Payments, memberships & refunds

• Host membership is a paid subscription purchased through Google Play Billing. Billing, renewals and cancellations are managed by your Google Play account; manage or cancel there. Charges are subject to Google Play’s terms.
• Event tickets are paid through Razorpay. We do not store your full card, UPI or bank details.
• Except where required by law or a listing/event explicitly states otherwise, payments are non-refundable. Membership already used is not refundable on cancellation, though you keep access until the current period ends.
• Where money for a stay, ride or trip is paid directly between members, that transaction is between those members; Herwave is not a party to it.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post. You grant Herwave a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and use that content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.

8. Safety features — no guarantee

Safety tools (SOS, check-ins, trusted contacts, verification) are provided to help, but are not emergency services and may not always be available or effective. In an emergency, always contact the police (112) or local authorities directly. Herwave is not liable for any failure or delay of these features.

9. Suspension & termination

You may stop using Herwave and delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete Account, or at herwaveapp.com/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the Service. Some provisions (such as content licences already granted, liability and dispute terms) survive termination.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Herwave is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any member or third party. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. For any question about these Terms, contact us at support@herwaveapp.com.
